Eeech, probably should not even be mentioning these pesty critters.
 July 20, 2008. |
This is a tick. Pesty things. Their season is from early June through mid-July'ish.
They like to lock their head/mouth into one's body and suck blood. Remove them simply by twisting them off ... then twist its head off with your fingernails. Mustn't leave them to multiply.
They are very common in Nova Scotia, now.

This is a "no see'um." Little buggers go straight through screening.
After 4:00 PM, outdoors, they chew you to bits.
Indoors we dim the lights so as not to attract them too much.
mid June - mid August.

I am especially sensitive to no-see'um bites. |
