• Natural Health Clinic -- two Appointments

  Health assessment & traditional herbal medicine recommendation.

  

  A visit to the clinic typically includes medical history, physical examination including blood pressure and pulse taking, and urine testing. It also includes a follow-up appointment in approximately four weeks.

  You can expect recommendations toward lifestyle changes, vitamin and mineral supplement suggestions (we suggest'em, we don't sell them), food changes and nutrition variations, and a traditional herbal medicine determination unique to the individual.

• Nutrition & Dietary dialogue -- one Appointment

  Dietary assessment & nutrition recommendation.

  

  This service can range all the way from an evaluation and a dietary adjustment determination to simply an hour long dialogue exchanging ideas, opinions, and values on food, weight loss, and nutrition.

  This service can also cover all aspects of "fasting" for health gain or toxin elimination. Learn a 28-day, vegetable-juice based "first fast" and simple "food combining" for improved health. Also, receive monitoring and coaching support during your fasts while using our other cleansing services such as sauna therapy or colon hydrotherapy.

• Colonic -- by appointment

  Colon hydrotherapy (also known as colonic irrigation and colonics) has traditionally been used to allay fevers and reduce pain in acute-care situations. It is used at Arcady Holistic, primarily a chronic-care clinic, to eliminate bowel toxins which provoke and worsen chronic ill-health conditions. Colonics are also a simple, effective method for helping to restore tone to the bowel.
  
  Our colon hydrotherapy room is equipped with shower, toilet, and sink for your convenience and privacy. We use a Colonet Pro 5 unit which has double water filters and ultra-violet sterilization; and we use disposable speculums.

• CranioSacral -- by appointment

CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. CranioSacral therapy releases tensions to allow the entire body to relax and self-correct. Using a gentle touch -- starting with about the weight of a nickel -- practitioners evaluate your internal environment. Then they use distinctive light-touch techniques to release any restrictions they find.

• Sauna Therapy -- by appointment

  The skin is a major organ of toxin elimination. Arcady Holistic's special dry sauna therapy is designed to improve toxin flow through the skin making both the body and the skin healthier.

  Note: this service is for Arcady Holistic clients only. A referral is required.

  • Any person with systolic (high) blood pressure greater than 179 mmHg. For those with pressures above 179 mmHg we recommend trying one or more 20-day juice fasts to reduce blood pressure to our qualifying limit.

  ALL ABOUT SAUNA:

  • No scents or body products on sauna days. Wash hair and body with soap or simply vinegar & water
  • No food and No fluid two hours before sauna
  • The following cycle is repeated three (3) times:
    • Heart evaluation,
    • Sauna (low humidity) 20 minutes,
    • Natural, apple-cider vinegar sponge bath,
    • Rest,
    • Rehydration,
    • Cool down

  SAUNA DRESS CODE

  The purpose of the sauna is to promote perspiration. To facilitate removal of perspiration from the body nudity is recommended though loose shorts or a wrap may be worn, and a loose top for women. Towel substitutes are also very good.

  It is a courtesy to not create big pools of sweat on the floor or benches. A towel is always required for sitting on or leaning over. The good news is Arcady Holistic provides towels!, but you may bring your own if you wish. [Wash your towels in plain water without detergent (or special scent-free cleanser) to reduce perfume fragrances. Thankyou.]
