Pathology:
An effusion of fluids into the tissues or cavities of the body.
Kidney origin (Hydrops) indicates an inablity to maintain the specific gravity of body fluid, worse in morning, puffy eyes;
Cardiac origin indicates heart failure, worse at end of day.
Note:
Oedema is a symptom not a disease. Refer to the appropriate illness.
Approach:
The body fluid will eventually become toxic with waste. Use supportive measures to help cleanse the body. Try and balance intake of fluid with removal.
